וַיִּקְבֹּ֤ץ עָלָיו֙ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים וַיְהִ֣י שַׂר־גְּד֔וּד בַּהֲרֹ֥ג דָּוִ֖ד אֹתָ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֤וּ דַמֶּ֙שֶׂק֙ וַיֵּ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֔הּ וַֽיִּמְלְכ֖וּ בְּדַמָּֽשֶׂק׃
Ia mengumpulkan orang-orang di sekelilingnya dan menjadi kepala suatu gerombolan pasukan, ketika Daud membunuh mereka. Lalu mereka pergi ke Damsyik, menetap di sana, dan memerintah di Damsyik.
